Design Only

Want to do the planting yourself, but don't know what or where to plant? Try our Design Only service. design sample

You receive:

  •  A FREE initial site visit
  •  A design plan (aerial view, top down) for your plantings, flowerbeds, etc.
  •  A list of plants and quantities you'll need of each
  •  All the information you need to create your own gorgeous outdoor space!

You can then take that information to a local nursery, quickly purchase everything you need, and use the design plan as a guide for installing your new flowerbeds and plantings.

The Process:

1. Contact us so we schedule your free initial site visit.

2.
 We will meet you at your house to look at your "trouble spots," get an idea of your likes and dislikes, and take a few site measurements.

3.
 We will then prepare a proposal, including a description of the design and installation process and an estimate of design cost for your specific garden area(s).

4.
 After you accept our proposal, we'll create your design plan using state-of-the-art CAD (computer assisted design) software and our extensive plant database (including photos for you) to communicate our recommendations.

We recommend plants appropriate for your geographic region and more specifically, for the micro-climates and soil type of your garden area(s). We want your garden to flourish as much as you do, so we are careful to select the right plants for the right places!

Design and Install

  •  A list of plants, materials and quantities needed
  •  Our energy, knowledge and expertise included in our labor package
  •  All the beauty of a gorgeous outdoor space, but none of the effort!

The Process:

1. Contact us so we schedule your free initial site visit.

2.

4.
 After you accept our proposal, we'll create your design plan using state-of-the-art CAD (computer assisted design) software and our extensive plant database to communicate our recommendations.

We recommend plants appropriate for your geographic region and more specifically, for the micro-climates and soil type of your garden area(s). We want your garden to flourish as much as you do, so we are careful to select the right plants for the right places!
5.
 After you're satisfied with the final design and have accepted our proposal for the Installation phase, it's time for us to dig in (literally!). While you sip your morning, afternoon, and evening coffee or tea, we will do our installation magic. We prepare your plant beds, select and transport the plants/materials from a local nursery, plant the plants, and clean up.

We also provide a 6-month warranty on plants we have installed for you.

Maintenance

Already have an established garden area, but need help getting it under control or keeping it in top shape? Try our Maintenance services.

You receive:

  •  A FREE initial site visit
  •  Our energy, knowledge and expertise included in our maintenance labor packages (see below for details)
  •  All the beauty of a gorgeous outdoor space, but none of the effort!

The Process:

1. Contact us so we schedule your free initial site visit.

2.
 We will meet you at your house to look at your garden area(s) and talk with you about your maintenance needs (see options below).
3.
 We will then prepare a proposal, including a maintenance description and schedule, and an estimate of maintenance cost for your specific garden area(s).

4.
 After you have accepted our maintenance proposal, we carefully tend to your garden while you tend to your other priorities. Your garden will stay in top shape all season long!

Maintenance Options

 

One-time clean-up:

For existing flowerbeds and existing beds around trees, we weed the beds, prune, trim, and deadhead existing plants, refresh the existing mulch, and make sure there's a nice clean edge around the beds.

Seasonal:

Spring: Let us wake up your garden! We pull/dig up weeds, put down fresh mulch, clean up the edging, clean out spent plant parts, and prune/trim existing plants as necessary. We will also plant spring annuals if you want to add a splash of vibrant color.

Summer: Let us provide extra TLC to the sun-ravaged garden! We pull/dig up weeds, fill in any mulch bare or thin spots to protect tender plants from heat, clean up the edging, and clean out spent plant parts.

Fall: Let us put the garden to bed for the winter! We pull/dig up weeds, add mulch if necessary to protect tender plants over the winter, clean up the edging, clean out spent plant parts, prune/trim existing plants as necessary. We will also plant fall annuals if you want to keep color around into the cold winter months.

As a small firm, we are equipped to provide these specialized services.

Plant Purchasing: You benefit from our established relationships with local nurseries by arranging for Signature Gardenscapes to hand-select the highest quality plants and coordinating delivery to your home, based on your installation timeline.

Plant Container/Box Designs: Showcase your porch, deck, or patio with customized plant designs for your containers, boxes, or hanging baskets.

Event Decorating: Planning an outdoor party or indoor holiday party? Let us recommend the flora and fauna that add special ambiance and that your guests will admire.

Project Planning: Want to implement landscape improvements using your own muscle? We can lay out the implementation plan for you, establishing the priorities and dependencies according to your timeline and budget.

Garden Coaching: HELP! Not sure where to start?! We work 1:1 with the homeowner for the homeowner to create a high level plan of improvements, then we periodically check in with the homeowner to review improvements he/she has made to date and suggest revisions to the high level plan if necessary. Signature Gardenscapes performs as consultants to your project.
